‘…Supervision is a compassionate appreciative inquiry, a space where we re-write the stories of our own practice, supervision interrupts practice and wakes us up to what we are doing instead of falling asleep in the comfort stories of our clinical routines.’ Ryan (2004).

Counselling supervision is the foundation of any counsellor's (or trainee counsellor's) work.

As a qualified COSCA Supervisor I offer a safe space where supervisees can revisit their work; reflect on it; receive feedback, support, and where appropriate, guidance. The object of this alliance is to enable the counsellor to gain in ethical competence, confidence, compassion, ethical decision making, self-care, self-awareness and creativity in order to give the best possible service to the client.

An important aspect of Supervision is helping supervisees to consider the impact of the work on the self. I will help you to explore your own self-care needs and offer the necessary support and scaffolding to help mitigate the stresses and impacts of your work and promote your practitioner well-being. Together, we will celebrate you and your clients’ success and your growth as a counsellor.

I work within BACP and COSCA Ethical Codes.

As well as offering Supervision to Counsellors, I offer Supervision to other professionals and support workers.

I can offer you a short meeting to allow us to meet and to give us a chance to chat and explore whether we are ‘the right fit’ as Supervisor and Supervisee.

Thereafter, monthly Supervision costs £45 per session: each session will last for 1.5 hours and will take place in a safe, confidential setting.
